Get their imagination flowing and invite their inquisitive nature out to play with the ‘Tree of Imagination’ located in the middle of the Cheshire countryside.
The tree was created from a large tree stump in September 2015 by local craftsmen as a centerpiece for the town. The aim of the attraction is to delight and inspire the children and those young at heart that flock to see it and it certainly does that!
As well as all the intricate details that have been carefully carved inside the tree, such as the staircases for the fairies and elves, miniature fairy books, bookshelves, magical doors, windows and staircases, there is also a special roof which incorporates an owl box, a bat box and a nesting box to keep all the local wildlife comfortable and give them a place to shelter – a great additional feature for the kids to learn about local wildlife.
Melissa from our merchandise team visited the ‘Tree of Imagination’ with her two daughters, Orla (age 4) and Tilly (age 8).
“It’s so beautiful and truly magical to visit, the girls loved it, particularly Orla. It set their imagination going – making up stories about the fairies and elves who live there and what they do when they come out to play as well as conversations about ‘Do fairies and elves live together?’, ‘Do they only come out at night time so we can’t see them’, ‘If we wait here all day will they come out?’.”
