Since we launched Grass & Air in October 2017, we’ve been astounded and very grateful for all the kind words about our kids rainwear and welly boot range. As a new brand, it is great to get such good and valued feedback from retailers, customers, influencers and publications.
Below, we’ve rounded up some of the publications and blogs we’ve been featured in since our launch:
“The Grass & Air Stomper Suit, with its striking yet smart design, bold colours and reflective strips, definitely ticks all the boxes. While some puddle suits feel rough to touch, this has a more luxurious, smooth feel and the asymmetric zip aids easier dressing and undressing. The stretchy hood doesn’t scratch at sensitive skin and the bright colours will make your little one easy to spot across the playground.”
Drapers Magazine
We were featured in the Kidswear edition of Drapers Magazine.
Little Flea Magazine
“Award-winning outerwear brand Grass & Air is launching its new Light Catcher Rainsters this Spring. These waterproof jackets reveal lightning bolts or clouds when bright light hits the fabric helping kids be seen in the dark. The range also includes Stomper Suits, Rain Runners and colour-changing wellies that reveal a rainbow of raindrops when they hit water.”
Little Flea also published an Instagram review post of our Light Catcher Rain Mac with the following caption:
“I sometimes have to remind myself that the point of being a parent is to at some point let them go. So when this new brand, Grass & Air, came on my radar, I fell in love. They have just launched their NEW Light Catcher raincoats and they are incredible. Featuring a subtle print by day, the lightning bolts or rain cloud pattern glows when bright light hits the fabric, helping kids to be seen in the dark. Perfect for style conscious kids and parents wanting their kids to be safe.”
We were featured in the April issue of Absolutely Mama Magazine in their kidswear trends forecast for AW18 as part of their ‘free range’ trend, as predicted by Trends Consultant, Fiona Coleman.
“This trend is all about getting kids outdoors and playing rather than hiding behind their screens… Nature influences the colour palette with rich autumnal shades contrasted with brights for fun outdoor clothing and rainwear.”
Mother & Baby
Our infant coral colour-changing wellies were featured in the April issue of Mother & Baby Magazine. This particular issue was guest edited by celeb-mum and author Giovanna Fletcher. The ‘let it rain’ feature selected products for little ones to take outside and have some fun!
ParentFolk
Grass & Air were featured twice in Issue 5 of ParentFolk Magazine. The first article was about “Mud Fest“, an event we hosted in collaboration with Chorlton-based, kidswear store “Our Kid“. The second was a “behind the brand” interview with the Grass & Air team.
Grass & Air host launch event with Our Kid.
“To celebrate the new launch of their rainwear collection by getting kids outside, influential bloggers, instamums and media joined in for a muddy morning of action in the heart of a woodland setting in Chorlton.”
Behind the brand: Grass & Air
“Grass & Air is a new brand, launched by the people behind our parent company, David Luke, who specialise in children’s school uniform. Those of us running David Luke are now all parents and we are passionate about getting kids outdoors for adventures, whatever the weather!”
“It’s that time of year when we don’t need coats, but it’s still highly likely to rain – and that’s why I’ve swapped from Mabel’s thick winter coat to this beauty by Grass & Air. It’s stunning on her, totally waterproof, and when a bright light shines on the fabric, rain clouds appear.”
“Our favourite item from this cool brand? Its Little Kids Colour-revealing Wellies. The clever pattern design on the kid’s wellies has been designed with fun in mind. Watch the raindrops change colour as they get wet to reveal a fun multicoloured print. Splashing in puddles or running in rain becomes suddenly cool and even Frenchie Mummy loves it! I want a pair for myself ASAP!”
She ran a giveaway for one of her lucky readers to win a pair of our infant colour-revealing wellies in a colour and size of their choice. We gifted her a Lightning Bolt Light Catcher and a pair of navy colour-changing wellies for her little one to try and it’s safe to say I think they liked them…
“Famous for its fabrics performance and designs but also for its cool colours, it’s a must have in your kiddies’ wardrobe! We love the coral and turquoise that features across the range! But also the cool and magical wellies!”
“I like nothing else than discovering cool brands for Babe to try and Grass & Air is definitely my fav this month! Bright, colourful, fun but also clever, it makes my Baba look so trendy!… Going for a walk in the country or playing in the garden with his favourite cars is so easy with Grass & Air. Their items are fun and comfy.”
“This brand is fabulous because it makes outwear fun and protective. The tech twist used in both the raincoat and the wellies transforms the items into more than garments! Hurrah!”
The giveaway was a huge success, receiving more than 18,200 entrants.
Five Little Doves
Laura the writer for Five Little Doves survives rainy days with her kids wearing Grass & Air.
“At four and five, my girls are typical of most children, they hate having to wear a coat, let alone a raincoat, and favor sparkly shoes over boring old wellies. So to discover a brand which not only looks great, but injects fun into their clothing, is a real relief! When I told the girls about the “magic” of the Grass & Air rainwear, which reveals a hidden pattern or colour changes before your very eyes, I’ve never seen them get their coats and wellies on so fast before!!”
Going On An Adventure
Mum of three Collette and blogger of ‘Going on An Adventure’ tells us her absolute rainwear essentials with girls, featuring our popular Light Catcher Macs.
“This spring my girls are wearing matching Grass & Air Light Catcher macs. Now if you’ve not heard of Grass & Air before, they’re a Manchester based brand with a passion for getting kids outdoors whatever the weather . . . this is an ethos I can get on board with.”
She also ran a competition giving away a Light Catcher Mac in a raffle draw!
